DOFF Steam Cleaning vs Pressure Washing...
DOFF Steam Cleaning is a specialist, yet unregulated, service that can be undertaken by anyone. Therefore, we always recommend a Stonehealth Rosetta contractor.
Superheated 150 Degrees Steam
Only DOFF achieves 150 degrees at the nozzle, helping to dissolve paint, lift chewing gum and dissolve lose carbons.
Kills Organic Matter Down to the Root
Extreme heat kills moss and lichen down to the root level stopping the potential for regrowth.
Gentle on Delicate Surfaces
Perfect for use on delicate substrate due to the absence of high pressure.

Typical cold water cleaning is unable to dissolve and remove paints, gums and oils.

The various DOFF Systems that we use are all designed for gentle cleaning of the surface required. Although the temperature of the system is very high the pressure on this system is low allowing for the removals of -
Paint, Grained organic matter on Stone, Brick, Concrete, terracotta and other substrates that require a gentle approach.
Another aspect of the DOFF system is that the restrictive use of water forcing slow movement through to system allowing the temperature to reach a max 150 degrees at the nozzle. This has been added to our company carbon neutral roadmap on lowering our carbon footprint.
The DOFF systems have all been approved by Historic England and English Heritage for the cleaning of their UK sites. Some of which are maintained by Solaris Exterior Cleaning.
All Solaris Exterior Cleaning staff are Stonehealth Rosetta Approved and can carry out all relevant cleaning with the DOFF system. Having the DOFF System approved by these government organisations for their buildings will give soft comfort that when the system is being used on your building you have the right system for the job.
DOFF cleaning is gentle cleaning, allowing the system to remove the majority of the surface grime once this has been undertaken. Other processes can become relevant for the surface in hand - introduction of a chemical and forms of cleaning or protection.
